The roadway is the main route between I-5 and Gee Cee's Truck Stop at Exit 52, and southward into Cowlitz County. It is used by over 2,000 vehicles per day, with 60% of those being trucks until the road turns southward. The roadway width varies. The roadway surface is degraded due to the high amount of trucks and tire scuffing during turning movements. The improvements to the roadway will include pavement repair, minor widening, and overlaid with a paved surface.
