Washougal River Road is a rural, major collector that provides a significant connection between the national forest, the logging industry, residentials and recreational communities. The roadway shows major distresses and substantial cracking indicating fatigue and degradation of the road subgrade. The roadway alignment has horizontal curves underneath the posted speed. The proposed improvements will widen existing narrow roadway, correct deficiencies of the roadway structure, horizontal curves, and clear zone hazards.
