Coyote Trail is a collector road that moves a lot of residents from the highway to their homes and places of business, including the South County Transfer Station, Road District 1 Shop and Fire Station. Prior to the project the road was in poor condition and needed an upgrade to maintain the future life of the road.

Road was not an all-weather surface, so the need to allow truck traffic year round was needed. Road in previous state had to be restricted in the spring months. Lanes were narrow and no guardrail present.

All new road and road base was constructed. The road is now an all weather design with CTB and WMA surface. Truck Drivers like that this road is no longer restricted, along with wider lanes makes the road feel safer and easier to drive.
