The Mohler Road serves as a significant farm to market and commercial freight and goods route in the south central area of Lincoln County. Mohler Road ultimately connects with State Route 28 and State Route 23. The drainage structure that is to be removed and replaced is within one mile of Highline Grain elevators.
This drainage structure is currently posted for 22 Tons for a grain truck configuration. Due to the constant impact of loaded trucks, the steel stringers show signs of dead load sag. Most of the diaphragms are broken out due to flex in the steel stringers from loaded grain trucks.
This project would consist of removing the concrete structure and replacing it with two 128" span culverts with safety bars followed by crushed surfacing and HMA plus other incidental work.
