Swenson South Road is a critical North-South corridor connecting the Lake Spokane area to points north. It is a valuable freight route. Swenson South Phase 1 was completed in 2015. The current road is 22 feet wide with no shoulders and steep edges. The project scope will involve widening the road to 28 feet, improving vertical geometrics, adding safety appurtenances such as guardrail, improving sight distance and eliminating roadway departure hazards.
