The existing culvert under Eden Valley Road at the intersection of Eden Lane seems to be collapsed and does not convey the flow during peak flow conditions on Crooked Creek adjacent to the road.
The existing bridge over Crooked Creek is silted, and does not carry the flow during flood conditions. The flow bypasses the bridge, and flows over the road at Eden Lane instead of going through the culvert under Eden Lane. The culvert under Eden lane is plugged between 50% and 75% at the inlet and outlet.
This project would replace the culvert under Eden lane and install a new culvert under Eden Valley Road on the East side of Eden Lane to handle the large storm events.
We visited the site at low water, and the bridge has significant scour under the footing on the West end of the bridge.
