Conconully Road is the primary route to the Town of Conconully, Conconully State Park and recreational areas. It is also a freight and goods route subject to weight restrictions during the spring thaw period each year.
The existing road consisted of a 24' wide BST surface with 1' to 2' gravel shoulders. The BST surface was showing signs of distress, and there were signs of subgrade / base deficiencies.
The roadway was widened to include 3' paved shoulders, and the full width was overlaid with HMA. The now road has a much more uniform surface and is easier to drive. The traveling public has expressed their appreciation for the improvement.
