The road/ bridge is an 07 road allowing access to Grant County from the city of Othello. The Road / bridge is a haul route for agriculture and commuting workers to and from Grant and Adams County.
The pre-existing was a 28’ wide bridge. The bridge weld ties had rusted and deteriorated to the point that the T-Beams were not acting as a single unit. The bridge had areas of spalling exposed and rusted metal and the bridge had been posted with load limit restrictions.
The new 32’ single span bridge allows for a new and better alignment for the commuting traffic reducing the grade on and off the bridge with increased weight limits. The new bridge weight limit now accommodates the agriculture needs.
