Prather Road provides access to a portion of south west Thurston County, and is used for residential traffic, logging, and farm vehicles.
In February of 2014 a landslide impacted the roadside and blocked a stream culvert. Since water was impounded by the road prism, the road was closed until a repair could be made.
The blocked culvert was replaced with a fish passable culvert, the road prism was reconstructed, and the roadway was rebuilt.
