The roadway was a narrow 17 feet wide and bumpy, showing signs of distress. The shoulders were also substandard.
The clearzone was addressed and cross culverts replaced with the RAP funded project.
The roadway widening, to 26 feet, and culvert replacement were accomplished by county forces. Work done by the contractor included paving with HMA and striping, as well as installing guardrail, reflectors and delineators for improved roadside safety.
