The Pilchuck River Bridge was originally constructed in 1960 and partially renovated in 1989. The structure was old and deteriorated to a very low sufficiency rating of 5.75. The bridge was weight restricted not able to transport some emergency vehicles. The bridge was also prone to debris damage during high water periods
The RAP funded project replaced the bridge as a single span to facilitate normal water flow and normal stream migration. Natural habitat was improved as well. The bridge is now safe for all emergency vehicles.
