South Naches Road is a Major Collector that conveys 3,405 vehicles a day. This Road is the main connection for fruit wharehouses to highway 12, and is the only connection between the Town of Naches and the rural community of Cowiche.
Prior to these latest improvements the road was narrow with limitted or no shoulder and had three sharp 90 degree curves.
the project widened the road to 12 ft lanes and 8ft paved shoulders. The project also realigned the road to elimate the three 90 degree curves.
